Places I Want To Visit, Here, There, And Everywhere {Part one}

Lately, I have had the urge to see the U.S.A.   Traveling is something I love to do.  I have been to some really neat places.  There is so much more to see though.  The following places are on my bucket list.

1. New York City

I am definitely a city girl.  I love the energy, excitement, bright lights, and of course BROADWAY!

2. Maine

Maine is very beautiful.  You have the coast, the woods, and everything else!

3. Cape Cod

When I think of Cape Cod, I think beautiful sunrises, quaint villages, sailing, cute little shops, and just relaxing.

4. Alaska

 Alaska.  " The Last Frontier ".  I would like to take a cruise to Alaska to see the Blue Whales, Kodiak Bears, Northern Lights, and Ice Bergs.

Aurora Borealis, Alaska...I will be setting these in Oil Paintings..."can't wait"

5. Hawaii

Right now I want to catch a plane and fly to Hawaii.  I am so ready for summer, leis, big waves, and surfing.

Maui, Hawaii

6. Charleston South Carolina

Surprisingly I have never been to Charleston.  I have been to South Carolina many times but never to Charleston.  I love the southern charm and historic atmosphere.

Friday Favorites

Hi lovelies!  Hope you're having a fabulous Friday!  I've said it once and I'll say it again, I am LOVING this spring weather!  The bright colors, beautiful flowers, longer days, all of it.  The weather here has been a little chilly, but yesterday was perfect.  So without further ado, here are the five things I've been loving this week.

This pink lipstick

I love the color of this lipstick.  It is the perfect color for spring.  I have been wearing it everyday!

A Princess Wish Perfume

This is my new favorite perfume.  It smells like flowers!  Isn't the bottle so pretty?

Movie Nights!

Every Friday night is our family movie night.  Tonight we will be watching Secretariat.

Being outside

Like I said yesterday's weather was PERFECT!  So my mom and I spent the whole day outside.

Chocolate Pie and Beans?!

Yes, beans.  I know, I know, you're probably thinking beans and chocolate don't go together {and believe me, they don't!}.  To be honest I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but surprisingly it tasted amazing!  Don't worry the beans don't stay in the pie.  You'll see what I mean. :)

You will need the following:

-Pie crust { I am using this brand }

-Chocolate filling { I am using this brand }

-Any dry beans  { we used lima beans }

-Milk { we used oat milk }

-Parchment paper

{ Note: You can use any brands you want. }

Step one:

If you are using a frozen pie crust, let it thaw for 10 minutes.

{ Be sure to remove the lining in the pie }

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="536"] This is the brand we used[/caption]

Step two:

Put parchment paper inside the pie crust.  Then put the beans on top so the pie crust will bake evenly { See below }.

Step three:

Now put in oven and follow directions on your pie crust.

Step four:

Remove the pie crust from the oven and remove the parchment paper with the beans.  Let cool.

Step five:

As the pie crust cools start making your pie filling.  Whatever brand you chose for your pie filling, follow those directions.

Step six:

Let filling cool before putting in pie crust { 5 - 8 minutes }.

Step seven:

Pour into pie crust.  Refrigerate for 3 - 4 hours.  Then enjoy!

I hope you guys love this recipe as much as we did.  If you are a chocolate lover { like myself } you will truly enjoy this recipe!  What dessert have you been loving?  I would love to hear about it!

Until next time,

Yesterday's Outfit

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="546"] Me and my beautiful mom![/caption]

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="557"] Sorry this pic is a little fuzzy. He wouldn't stop moving around![/caption]

Hi everyone!  Here is a peak at yesterday's ootd.

I love how all the colors in this outfit flow together.  It's the perfect spring combo!  As I was putting this outfit together, my first thought was that denim and peach pants couldn't possibly go together.  That was until I put this floral scarf with it.  I couldn't believe how the colors went together so well!  Again, I had to wear my favorite Lauren Conrad earrings {of course}.  Can't wait to go back to Kohl's and get some more jewelry from her collection!
Until next time,

Friday Favorites

Happy first day of spring everyone!  I am so excited spring is finally here {although it really didn't feel like spring today}.  So whether it's hot or cold where you live, here are a few things that will get you ready for some spring weather!

Spring Weather

Of course! What I love about spring is the longer days and bright beautiful colors.

LC Earrings

Let me just say I am in LOVE with these LC earrings! They are the perfect color for spring. {These are the earrings I wore in this blog post}

Currently I am reading the Above the Line series by Karen Kingsbury {and Pride and Prejudice too} . She is amazing, I CANNOT put them down!  I read the whole Redemption series and loved those as well.  I totally recommend Karen Kingsbury's books!

Making Sweet Treats With Mom

Lately my mom and I have been making a lot of sweet treats {my dad has been enjoying them!}.  Yesterday we made some mint chocolate chip ice cream out of bananas.  Believe it or not it was delicious!

Who else is excited for the weekend?  Hope you have enjoyable weather and are able to venture outside to enjoy the spring weather!

Until next time,

DIY Easter Nails

Hello loves!  Today I will be showing you 5 super cute and easy Easter nail designs.

You will need the following:

-Spring color nail polish {including black}

-Thin tip nail brush {or paint brush}

-Nail polish remover and cotton balls {only if you need to take off old nail polish}

Step one:

Paint your thumb nail yellow.

Index nail purple.

Middle nail pink {you can paint your index and middle nails whatever color you like}.

Ring nail yellow.

And your pinky nail white.

Hatching chick:

-Yellow nail polish

-White nail polish

-Black nail polish

-Orange nail polish

-Nail striper

With a toothpick dipped in white, make a chevron pattern {see below for better details}

Connect the dots with the nail striper {or paint brush}.

Then fill in the top and bottom part. Leave the middle yellow.

Using your toothpick, make two small black dots for the eyes.

Again using a toothpick, make a small orange triangle for the beak.

Chevron egg:

-Purple nail polish

-Pink nail polish {and any other colors you would like}

-Nail striper

Follow the same steps as you did for the hatching egg above.  You will be making a chevron pattern.

You can do one, two, three, or four rows. I recommend 2-4 rows.

Happy bunny:

-White polish

-Pink nail polish striper

-Black nail polish

Start by painting half a circle {using the white polish} on your middle nail.

Using your nail striper, outline the bunny ear.

Fill it in with white polish. Then, paint a pink stripe down the middle.

With a toothpick, make two small black dots for the eyes {just like the hatching chick}

Still using a toothpick make a small "v" shape for the nose.

Continue with the toothpick and make two small "u" shapes for the mouth.

Little chick:

-Yellow nail polish

-Black nail polish

-Orange nail polish

With a toothpick make two small black dots for the eyes.

With the orange polish make a beak using a toothpick.

Finish it off with two little web feet!

Colorful spring stripes:

-White nail polish

-Nail striper {or paint brush}

-Pink nail polish

-Orange nail polish

-Purple nail polish

-Yellow nail polish

This last nail design is super easy!  All you need to do is use your nail striper to draw straight lines across your pinky nail.

I suggest resting your dominant hand on the table for steadiness.

Once your nails are completely dry {wait 45-60 minutes} apply a fast-drying top coat.

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days.  It's been crazy busy around here!  Plan on going to the flea market this weekend.  You can find so many great things there.  It's like searching through a giant treasure chest!  I have some posts planned for this weekend.  So keep an eye out!

Until next time,
