DIY Fouth of July Crafts

Hello loves!  Fourth of July is THIS weekend!  So, today I will be sharing two super cute {and easy} 4th of July crafts!  Enjoy!

1. DIY Beaded Tassel Bracelet {red, white, and blue}

I made this super cute DIY from Southern Curls and Pearls this week.  For the 4th of July I used red and blue embroidery floss.  I'm obsessed with tassels so this was the perfect DIY for me!

2. DIY Patriotic Banner

This is such a cute and easy craft!

 You will need the following:

Pre-made Banner {or you can make one yourself}

Thin Paintbrush

Medium sized Paintbrush

Star Stencil {not shown}

A towel to place under the piece of burlap {not shown}

Red and Blue Paint

Step one:

Start by tracing some stars onto a piece of burlap.  I used paper stars from the Dollar Store.  I got them for a school project I had to do. :)

Step two:

Using your thin paintbrush, outline your star with blue paint.

 Step three:

Paint around the star with the same blue paint you used to outline the star.

  Step four:

Taking your ruler and pencil {on a different piece of burlap} make the lines for your stripes.  Mark the inside of the stripe you will be painting.  Outline the stripes with red paint.
{see below}

Step five:

Fill in the stripes using the red paint.

Step six:

If your burlap banner is like mine and dosen't already have holes for the string, fold the top corners and cut a little hole.  {see below}

Step seven:

Almost done!! The last step is to string the burlap and hang it up wherever you like.

I hope you all enjoy doing these fun patriotic DIYs!

Until next time,

4th of July Favorites

Today, I will be sharing some items I have been loving for the 4th.  This is a little different than what I normally do, but I haven't had any "favorites" this week.  Fourth of July is next week {which is hard to believe!!} So, I thought it would be the perfect time to share some patriotic favorites of mine!

4th of July favorites by scnrousch on Polyvore featuring polyvore fashion style J.Crew Croft & Barrow Blue Nile Brooks Brothers Essie

1. A baseball cap is great if you want to be casual but still look cute!

2. I love KJP products!  Bracelets are my favorite accessory.

3. Pearl earrings are a staple piece in my wardrobe.  I rarely take mine off!

4. I love collared shirts.  Gingham collar shirts are just adorable! I think it would be perfect for the 4th!

5. Although VV can be pricey, I think they have the cutest shep shirts.  I don't own a VV shep shirt...yet ;)

6. I am obsessed with striped tops {actually striped anything!}.  A striped top is a classic piece to have.  It reminds me of summer days at Nantucket!

7. How cute are these Stars and Striped Shorties from Lauren James ?!  They're perfect for a more casual look on 4th of July.

8. Your nails have to match your outfit!  One of these colors or all of them would be cute.  My personal favorite color is red!

9. You can carry everything you need for the 4th of July in this adorable tote!

P.S. I'm sure something you all know by now is that I love Kohls.  I actually went there today with my mom and we saved $132!

Singin' In the Rain

Singing In The Rain

Striped Boatneck Tee // Yellow Raincoat {similar} // Kate Spade umbrella // AEO Mid-Rise Jeggings {similar} //  Hunter Boots // Lipstick {similar} //  Pink Handbag

Even though it's summer, there will still be rainy days.  That doesn't mean you have to be stuck in the house on a dreary rainy day.  Today has been a dreary day, so, I thought I would share a little rainy day outfit inspiration.  You can still dress fashionable on a rainy day with bright colors and a cute umbrella!  The umbrella is my favorite item in this set.  I love the size and the fact it's a clear umbrella.

Sunday Best

Dress {similar here} // Earrings {similar here and here} // Gold bracelet {similar} // Pearl bracelet {similar} // Lipstick {Pink Minx}

There's nothing I love more than lazy Sunday afternoons and good books. {Well, maybe shopping ;) }.  It's so nice to sit outside,  listen to the chirping birds and feel the warm summer breeze while sipping on home made lemonade.  Sunday afternoons are just lovely!

This Sunday I was feeling extra fancy.  So, I decided to dress up a bit.

I love this dress so much!  It's a little on the "dressy" side.  That is what I love about it.  The gold details add a classy touch to it as well.  I purchased this dress last year, so unfortunately, it is no longer available.

Lastly, I just wanted to say Happy Father's Day to all the amazing dads out there!  I am so thankful for my dad and all he does for me!

Until next time,

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days.  Technical difficulties!  Need I say more?!  Grrrr....     I was going to post yesterday but my camera {and computer} have been giving me trouble.  Now they seem to be working.  Hopefully, it stays that way.

4. A Ralph Lauren button down is definitely a staple in my closet.  They're so versatile.  That's my favorite part about them!

5. Lilly Pulitzer agendas are the adorable!  Since it's hard to choose just one,  my motto is....Buy them all!

6. Anthropologie is the best store ever.  Whenever I go in there, I never want to come out!  The only problem is, I don't have enough money.  You feel me?  I have to tell you, their candles smell AMAZING!

7. I have been wanting a watch for the longest time now {I know, I know, I'm a little behind!} .  I got one yesterday for only $14!  It's so pretty, and I'm in love with it.  I have worn it all day!  You can purchase a similar one here .

Tassels on Tassels

Tassels have been on trend this spring/summer.  I have to say I'm obsessed.  They're super cute and add that "pop" to an outfit!  Here's a collage I put together of an outfit showing how tassels add that "pop" to an outfit.  Enjoy!

Fancy Florals

Floral Peasant Top //  Pink Jeans {similar}

I am in love with this top from Kohls!  It's so light and airy.  Perfect for summer!  This peasant top could easily be paired with dark wash jeans or white jeans as well.  It's from the Lauren Conrad collection of course!

Honestly, I'm very picky when it comes to colorful jeans.  I prefer dark wash, white, or a light pastel color.  Here are a few I like:  White Jeans ,  Dark Wash Jeans ,  Coral Jeans .

Also, I decided to change my blog name.  For All Things Pink and Pretty seemed to be a better fit since I love peonies, fashion, anything pink, and DIY crafts.

Hope you guys have had a great Sunday!  Chat soon!

Look on the bright side of things.  Stay positive and don't let the negativity get you down!

Style Steal : Audrey Hepburn

As you all can probably tell I love Audrey Hepburn.  She is a classy lady with a classic style.  Whenever I need an outfit inspiration, I just look up a picture of Audrey.  Honestly, she is my #1 style icon.  Here are a few of my favorite outfits she wore.  Enjoy!

"I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles."
