Little Bit of Summer

Blue Cardigan // White Tank {similar here} // Gold Link Bracelet {similar here} // Distressed Denim {similar here}

This outfit reminds me of a nice, cool, summer day in New England.  I long for the day I am able to enjoy a summer in Cape Cod, Nantucket, and Martha's Vineyard. *Dreamy sigh*

Until that summer arrives, I've really been enjoying the cooler weather at home. It's so nice compared to the miserable summer heat! :)

Until next time,

Summer Blues

So sorry for the lack of posts lately.  I have been super busy and just haven't had time to blog!

I still can't believe it's the best time of the year.  Fall time!!  I'm looking forward to going to fall festivals, apple picking, and enjoy making delicious autumn recipes {which I will be sharing those recipes soon!}.

I love this tank top because it's so light and airy.  Perfect for days when it gets a little hot.  It's also perfect for the cooler days as well.  Just throw a cardigan over it and your good to go!

I hope everyone has a fall-bulous week!

Until next time,

Tips & Tricks for the Perfect Fall Home

I still can't believe it's already September!  I'm super excited because that means fall is even closer {and my birthday too!!}  To me, fall is the bestest season.  The beautiful colors, cozy sweaters, pumpkins galore, and wonderful smelling candles!  The list could go on forever.

One of my most favorite things to do in the fall is redecorate our home.  So today, I will be sharing my tips and tricks for the perfect fall home!  Enjoy!

1. Mix & Match

Just make sure they flow together.  Don't be scared to try new things.  It can be fun!  You can have fun all while keeping it warm and welcoming at the same time.  Stick to similar qualities and you'll be good to go!

2. Make it Whimsical

Fall is the perfect time to have a little fun with your decor.  Foxes, owls, and a few unexpected pumpkins here and there keep the mood fun and happy!

3. Layer it Up

Clothes aren't the only things you can layer in the fall!  You can layer rugs just as well.  I love the different shapes, textures, and how the perfect rug can pull a room together.  Be creative and make the space your own.

4. Warm & Cozy

Something I love in the fall is a big basket full of cozy blankets!  It's so nice to cuddle up by the fire with a fuzzy blanket.  Oh, and candles!  Lots of candles...

5. Fancy Florals

Something else I really love is a nice floral arrangement.  Whether its on your kitchen table or your desk, it really adds a nice touch to any room!

6. Be Bold

Don't be intimidated when mixing different patterns and textures.  Just like in tip #1, make sure they don't fight each other for attention.  I love to mix patterns and textures.   I would have never thought of mixing before!

Friday Favorites {Fall Edition}

Sadly, summer is coming to an end.  However, the cooler weather will make up for that!  Even though I love summer, fall is definitely my favorite season.  I love cozy sweaters, boots, hot cocoa, and the changing of the leaves.  So today, I will be sharing some of the things I am looking forward to in this coming season!  Enjoy!

1. Fall Layers

I absolutely love layering in the fall/winter!  My favorite part is mixing different patterns, textures, and colors.  Since I'm cold natured, I like to layer a lot.  Just thinking about it makes me even more excited! {is that even possible?}

2. Fall Colors

*Dreamy sigh*  The best part about fall.  Bright, beautiful colors and early morning walks.  Oh, and of course making huge piles of leaves and jumping in them!  It's just perfect...

 3. Fall DIY

I love a good DIY, and fall time is perfect for just that!  You can find a lot of cute and easy crafts on Pinterest.  Seriously though, how cute are these donut pumpkins?!

4. Apple Cider

It's tradition in my family to make apple cider.  Not only is it delicious but it also make our home smell good!

5. Turkey Nails

Although nail art can be time consuming, I still enjoy doing it!  Last Thanksgiving, I attempted to do these cute little turkeys.  Surprisingly, it wasn't that hard! {I linked the video down below!}
