10 Ways to Brighten Up a Rainy Day

Hey loves!  The last few weeks have been non-stop rain.  So, that's why you haven't seen any outfit posts for awhile. ;)  Due to all of this lovely rain we've been having,  I have been spending most of my time indoors.  Below you will find  10 FUN things to do on a rainy day.  Enjoy!!

 1. Have a Photo Shoot

Put on your rainboots, grab your umbrella, go outside and sing and dance in the rain!

 2. Do Something Artistic

Rainy days can bring your artistic side out.  Drag out all your arts and crafts be creative and have a blast!

 3. Curl Up in Your Favorite Chair and Read a Book

Or a magazine for that matter.  This is something I absolutely love to do when it's raining outside.  It's so relaxing to light a candle and get into a good book!

4. Pick Some Flowers

If you have some flowers in your yard, go out and pick some!  If you do not have flowers in your yard, you could purchase some flowers if you venture out.  Flowers instantly  boost my mood on a rainy day or not.  I'm sure most of you know that Peonies are my absolute favorite flowers.  I'm pretty sure we have some growing in our yard!  Below are a few pictures of them.....

5. Do Some Yoga

Sometimes all you need to do is stretch!  It's also good to take time for yourself.  I like to go on Youtube, put on some calming music, and just relax.

6. Bake the Day Away....

My mom and I love to bake.  I love how it makes our home smell delicious. ;) One of my favorite recipes are these no-bake energy bites.  They are so delicious, easy, and healthy!

7. Clean Your Room

When it's raining outside, I guess there's no excuse to not clean your room {at least for me!}  Once my room is all clean, I feel so much better!

8. Play Some Games

Drag out all of your board games and have a family game night!  My family and I love doing this.  A few of our favorite games are Apples to Apples, Headbandz, and Clue.  We also, love playing the Wii.

9.Write a Letter to an Old Friend

You could even give them a call.  I love those unexpected letters {or calls} you receive from someone you haven't heard from for awhile.

10. Blast Some Music

When all else fails, turn up the music!  Jamming out to your favorite songs helps anything.  It gets your mind off of reality for awhile.

I hope you all have a wonderful {and dry} week! ;)

Until next time,

Xoxo, Natalie
