Fourth of July Essentials

Can you believe this coming weekend we will be celebrating July 4th?  The 4th of July holiday is one of my favorite celebrations for many reasons.   I love the fireworks, food, sparklers, spending time with family and friends ,and our freedom.  So, I thought I would put together some of my essentials for the fourth.

1. Sparklers - Sparklers are so much fun!  You can use them to spell fun words or draw something summer related.  Plus, if you get a group of your friends together, you all can create something really amazing!!

2. Swimsuit - I will use any excuse to purchase a new swim suite.  I especially, love the ones that have stripes or Vineyard Vine whales.

3. Pool Float - Since pool floats are really trending right now, might as well get one for the fourth.

4. Patriotic Lightweight Sweater - I have been eyeing this Vineyard Vines sweater for a while now.  I love how classic and patriotic it is.  I am always cold; even in the summer.  So, I always take a light sweater with me wherever I go.  What better sweeter to take, then this one from Vineyard Vines.

5. Boat Shoes - I have quite the love for Sperrys!  Sperrys dress up any casual outfit.  If you will be by the water this holiday, boat shoes will be a good choice.
Shop more Sperrys here.

6. Bold Print - LILLY!!!  When I think of a bold print, I think of Lilly Pulitzer. Two of my favorite prints for the fourth would have to be "Pop Pop" and "Summer Siren".

7. Red, White, & Blue Nail Polish - A cute way to show your patriotism, is dolling up your nails with Red, White and Blue nail polish.

I linked a bunch of other patriotic products above, so be sure to check them out!

Until next time,

Trevor James Products

I am so excited to be featuring a brand I love on the blog today.  Trevor James Products!   What is so inspiring is that Trevor James Products was created by a freshman in college.  This goes to show that you are never too young to pursue your dreams.

Each product is made with the upmost quality, and is beautifully crafted.  Trevor James Products finds their inspiration in a small and picturesque New England town called Mattapoisett, Massachusetts.   I just absolutely love the classic, preppy, and beachy vibe from each of their products!

All of Trevor James Products are affordable.  The best part is, their products are made in America.  Not only are all their products made in America, but with every sale, they donate 10% to Waves for Waters.  Waves for Waters provides clean filtered water for those in third would countries.  Something many of us take for granted.

Be sure to check out their website here!

And just think, every purchase provides clean water to those in need!

Come Shopping with Me

Hey everyone!  Recently, I have done a little bit of shopping.  Whenever I purchase something new, I want to get it on the blog ASAP.  Sometimes though, I can't.  In this post, I will be sharing all the items I have bought in the last month or so.  I'll be reviewing each item I have purchased below.  Happy shopping!

Clothes

  • V-Neck Tank - Super soft!  I bought it in an XS, and it fits great.  It is a little loose, but I don't mind.
  •  Chambray Tank - Fits perfect!  The material isn't rough or uncomfortable.  Other color options here and here.
  •   Striped Tank Top - I couldn't find it online, but I believe it's still in stores {in the junior section at Kohls}.  I hope so because I love it!  Just like the top above, it's very soft and fits great {I bought it in a M because I wanted it to be longer}.  As y'all know, I am a sucker for stripes {and blue}.  I just couldn't pass it up!
  •  Similar LC Blouse - The one I bought was on clearance, so unfortunately, it's no longer available. :( I absolutely love how breezy it is though.  Perfect for hot, humid days. See the one I purchased in this post
  •  Embroidered Peasant Top - This is my favorite top right now!  It is more pink in person.  The embroidery is beautiful and feminine.
  • Dreamy White Blouse - The words I would use to describe this top would be dreamy, beautiful, gorgeous, and absolutely perfect!  It is absolutely stunning!  When I tried it on, I instantly fell in love. The scallops are such a cute touch.  It's on clearance for only $14!!  Be sure to pick it up before it's gone.

    Accessories

  • Teardrop Earrings - I have never liked big earrings on me, but I love this pair!  The color is what sold me {they're not as dark as they look on the website}  See them in this post.
  • Vineyard Vines Baseball Cap - I can't say enough good things about this hat.  I absolutely love it!  I especially love it for bad hair days. ;) It's great quality, and I would highly recommend it to anyone!  I got it in the color "Flamingo"
  • Crochet Scarf -  If you haven't been to Altar'd State, you must!  Not only does it smell good, it also has an amazing sale section. ;) I got this scarf for only $10 over the weekend!  The crochet detailing is so beautiful.

Makeup

  • Pur Cosmetics Cinderella Makeup Pallete - I am so glad I picked up this makeup pallete!  I honestly don't wear a lot of makeup.  The only time I wear makeup is if I'm doing an outfit shoot for the blog.  Lately, I have wanted to start wearing a little bit more makeup.  I have been eyeing this makeup pallete for awhile now, and decided to go for it!  I actually picked it up last week.  Everything about it is perfect!  Even the packaging is beautiful!  It includes 6 shades of lipstick, 6 shades of eyeshadow, and 4 shades of blush.

And that's a wrap!  I hope you guys enjoyed this post!

Until next time,

Xoxo, Natalie

Last Minute Father's Day Gift Ideas

Happy hump day!  Sorry this post is going up so late.  It's been a long day. ;)  Anyway, in today's post, I am sharing a few last minute gift ideas for dad.  I can't lie, dads can be hard to shop for.  When you ask what they want/need they may say "I don't know" or "I don't need anything."  But, you have to buy something for your dad because he's special!  Below are some gifts for dads of all kind!

A Tie - Honestly, you can never go wrong with a tie.  I love the ones from Vineyard Vines.   They have so many cute prints!

A Watch - My dad is a watch lover.  He has quite the collection. ;) Not only are watches practical, they're stylish too!

Golf Balls - If your dad is an avid golfer, golf balls would make a great gift.

A Shirt - Something else you can't go wrong with is a shirt.  Especially, something classic. Like a button up or polo shirt.

A Gift Card - Something else you can't go wrong with is a gift card to his favorite store.  Gift cards are great if you don't know what to buy for your dad.

Shaving Kit - What dad doesn't love a nice shaving kit?  If your dad does not yet have one, or needs a new one, a nice shaving kit would be a great gift.

A Wallet - A dad needs a new wallet every now and then.  My dad will wear his wallet out until there's barely anything left to it!  You'll definitely get your money's worth out of it.

Tools ;) - I thought these Hand Tool Utensils were so cute!  My dad is a handyman. So, I think he would really like them.

A Grill - Two of your dad's favorite things, grilling and football!  I thought it was pretty adorable.  Unfortunately, the one in the collage is unavailable, but I linked a very similar one above. :)

A Hat - My dad also, has a pretty big collection of baseball hats.  So, why not buy him one more to add to his collection?  I own a Vineyard Vines hat, and would highly recommend it to anyone.  They come in handy during the summer. ;)

Do you have any plans for Father's Day?

Until next time,

Xoxo, Natalie

Weekend in My Life: June 11 - June 12

Happy Monday!  Hope you all had a great weekend!  Today's post is a little different than what I normally post, but I like switching things up every now and then. ;)  In today's post, I am going to share what I did over the weekend.  Honestly, I didn't do much at all, but it was fun and relaxing spending time at home with family.  I'll share what I did on Saturday and then Sunday.  I hope you enjoy!

Saturday...

On Saturday my mom and I had a little fun.  We went onto our front porch and painted.... me.  Yep, me!  It brought back sweet memories from my childhood. :)  I saw a picture on Pinterest, and just had to recreate it!  The sunset that evening was so beautiful.  Naturally, I took some pictures.  I didn't edit any of the pictures of the sunset. ;)

This is the painting I am working on.  As you can see, it's far from done!

Sunday....

On Sunday, we went to church, came home and just relaxed.  Annnnd SURPRISE!   I did some more drawing and painting!  Once I finish them,  I'll be sure to post them on Insta.  I also, watched Cinderella {my favorite!} :)

Like I said, my weekend wasn't busy, but that's how weekends should be, right?  I hope you all have a lovely day...

Until next time,

Xoxo, Natalie

Summer Essentials {Sweet Summer Link-Up}

Happy Wednesday!  I am very excited about today's post because it's a link up with some amazing bloggers.  Not to mention, it's summer time too. ;)  Today, I'm sharing some of my essentials for summer!  Be sure to read all the other posts here!

A Polaroid Camera - Okay, okay, you don't need a polaroid camera, but it is fun to have!  Especially, during the summer!  I am so glad I purchased a polaroid camera.  It's well worth the price.

Flowy Dresses - My favorite kind of dresses, during the summer, are maxi and shift dresses.  On the days you don't feel like putting a whole outfit together, you can throw on a dress, and "Volia" you have an outfit.  Plus, they're great for those hot humid days!

Pool Floats -There are so many adorable pool floats to choose from these days.  My two favorite ones I have found are this flamingo float and this watermelon float.  Aren't they the cutest?!

Refreshing Drinks - There is nothing like relaxing by the pool with a nice cold glass of lemonade or sweet tea!  It's so refreshing after a long hot day.

Sunglasses - I have a confession to share.  I bought my first pair of aviator sunglasses a few weeks ago.  At first, I wasn't sure if I liked them, but they kind of grew on me!  Now, I can't stop wearing them!

Fun Prints - A few of my favorite prints for summer are anchors, stripes, polka dots, and of course, Lilly Pulitzer!

A Hat - Whether it be a floppy hat, baseball cap, or a fedora, a hat is another one of my essentials for summer.  This year though, I have really gotten into wearing hats!  I am slowly building up my collection. ;)

Sandals and Flip-Flops - This one is kind of obvious, but it's definitely an essential!  During the summer, all you want to do is slip on some shoes and head out the door.  Flip flops and sandals have always been my go to.  I also, really love boat shoes and Keds

Watermelon - Watermelon is my favorite summer snack.  Just like lemonade and sweet tea, it's so refreshing!

A New Swimsuit - I love it when all of the stores start bringing out their swimsuits.  I have seen a lot of really cute ones this year {I say that every year!} I linked a few swimsuits and cover ups above!

Good Books - Whenever I go on vacation, I need a whole suitcase just for all my books!  I absolutely, love reading but don't have a lot of time to do so.  However, during the summer, I have a little more free time.  Read this post to see what my favorite books are.

What are some of your summer essentials?  Don't forget to check out all of the other posts!

Until next time,

Xoxo, Natalie

Polka Dots, Pearls, and Peonies

There are a few things in life that I am a total sucker for.  Stripes, navy, anchors, peonies, and Instagram worthy coffee shops, just to name a few....

If you have followed this blog of mine for awhile, you may have noticed that I have a love for feminine, breezy, flowy tops.  Whenever I see one in a store, I have to try it on.  I can't help myself!

I bought the one I am wearing in this post at Kohls {in the Lauren Conrad section of course}  Like I do with every flowy blouse I see, I fell in love with it.  The polka dots and the green.  Oh, and don't even get me started about the peplum hem....

Happy Monday!

Until next time,

Xoxo, Natalie
