A Final Farewell

"I am made for autumn.
Summer and I have a fickle relationship, but everything about autumn is perfect to me.  Wooly jumpers, scarves, thin first, then thick, socks.  The low slanting light, the crisp mornings, the chill in my fingers, those last warm sunny days before the rain and the wind.  The moody hues and subdued palette punctured every now and again by a brilliant orange, scarlet or copper goodbye."

Until next time, autumn,

Outfits to Recreate this Thanksgiving

     Well, hey there, lovely!  I am sure all of you are aware this is the week we all will gain 10+ pounds.  This is the week well shall stuff our faces with so much turkey and sweet potato casserole, that we cannot think straight afterward.  This, my dear friends, is the week of Thanksgiving.  Though, if I am being 125% honest here, I have always looked forward to the Macy's parade just a tad bit more than the food {whoops}  But the food and parade are not the most important things about this American holiday.  No, not at all.  It's about spending time with your family.  About gathering around the table with those whom you love, and reflect on the last year, reminding yourself of all the good that has happened in your life.  And to be thankful for all God has blessed you with.

     *whew* That was a little deep.  My apologies.  Anyway, as important as all of that is, your outfit is important equally as much.  Just stating the facts! ;)  So, today, I thought it would be appropriate to round up a few simple outfits for all you to easily recreate.  Keep on scrolling to get inspired!

If you want something that's incredibly simple, yet just as ridiculously cute, give this sweet look a try...

I am very much in love with all the overall // corduroy dresses that have been floating around this season.  Either one would look exceptionally lovely for this upcoming Thursday.

Lace Blouse // Overall Dress {so hopelessly in love with that dress *swoons*} this one is another beautiful option as well as this one // Clogs here & here // Leather Saddle Bag {also love this one, this one & this one}

 If you want something classy and comfy, try adding a little bit of lace...

Whether that be boot socks or a spring dress underneath a warm sweater, adding a hint of lace to your outfit can really make the world of a difference any time of the year.

 If you are a more traditional girl, why don't you give the "old school girl" look a go...

I am alllllllll for those vintage vibes.

 Oversized Sweater // Wrap Skirt {don't shy away from thrift shops! some of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe have been from consignment stores!}

 If you want to save a lil' extra room for that scrumptious pumpkin pie, why don't you try adding on those oversized, cozy layers...

Bring on all the layers to hide that food baby! {and to stay all toasty and warm, too}

If you are more for comfort than style, a patterned sweater will suffice just nicely...

 There is absolutely nothing wrong with going for a more laid back, traditional look.  Thanksgiving is a traditional holiday after all!

 If it's a touch warmer where you reside, and layers aren't really an option, sport something light and airy...

It is extremely difficult and near impossible to go wrong with a fluttery, flowy, feminine dress.

Fall Style
 Dress here, here & here // Fedora// Set of Rings

 Another great option for you warmer climate gals, would be to layer a lightweight sweater // t-shirt underneath one of your summer dresses...

 via
Ruffle Button Down // Dress {or if you want to dress up your outfit, you could opt for a pretty lace dress} // Converse
And as for the outfit I plan on styling later this week...

 I have this beautiful skirt hanging in my closet that I absolutely adore!  You can view it in this post.  I plan on pairing it with one of my oversized turtle necks, knee high boot socks and my favorite leather ankle booties.

I hope this post gave you just the right amount of inspiration!

Until next time,
